Season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired from October 1999 to May 2000. The gang move to UC Sunnydale, the Initiative operates beneath the campus, and the season’s big bad — Adam — arrives in the second half. The year is remembered for its highs (Hush, Restless) rather than its arc, but it contains some of the show’s most formally inventive work.
