Boom! Studios launches a new Buffy miniseries tomorrow — Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer #1 hits shelves on Wednesday, August 2nd.
The series is set in the alternate future established in the Buffy the Last Vampire Slayer Special, and this time the focus shifts to Thess — a new Slayer who has grown up and taken on the mantle in a changed world. She’s got new enemies to deal with too, in the form of a mysterious clan willing to go after her friends to get to her. Classic Slayer problems, new Slayer face.
The series is written by Casey Gilly, who has previous form in the Buffyverse and knows the tone well. If you’ve been enjoying Boom!’s ongoing run in this corner of the universe, this one looks well worth picking up.
