The Vampire Slayer #14 hits shops today from BOOM! Studios, and the big story this issue is the ongoing fractured relationship between Buffy and Giles.
Written by Sarah Gailey with art by Kath Lobo, issue #14 finds Buffy determined to repair things with Giles while simultaneously reclaiming her identity as the Slayer. Meanwhile, Willow is finally getting a better handle on her immense magical power — which is just as well, because the Crab God is evolving into its final form and the timing really couldn’t be worse.
If you haven’t been reading The Vampire Slayer, this is BOOM! Studios’ alternate-universe take that launched in 2022 — same characters, very different continuity, with a more contemporary sensibility. Gailey has been doing genuinely interesting things with the character dynamics throughout the run, and Lobo’s art is consistently worth the cover price on its own.
